Japan viewed from outside.
Japan viewed from inside.
There is a rich mixture of culture from foreign countries and Japan itself.
I feel a gap between current lifestyle and traditional lifestyle living here in Tokyo.
Convenient and safe Japan.
A chaotic townscape with something like traditional, new, foreign, and what is passed on from ancestors.
I am not able to live in a Japanese traditional house with Kimono - Japanese traditional clothes since I have got used to current convenient life, even I feel contradiction in my mind.
Thus, I would like to create a landscape which connects ancestor’s past life and our today’s life by portraying present townscape in Tokyo with traditional patterns and materials.
